During your treatment, needles or catheters are placed in your arm. You may experience minor discomfort when the needles are inserted, but you should not feel pain during the procedure. Your blood flows through a specialised filtration system outside your body.

Your blood passes through a primary filter that separates plasma from blood cells.

Environmental filter (TKM58)

The TKM58 is a specialised filter used in the Inuspheresis® process. It may help to remove certain proteins and protein-bound substances from your blood plasma. This filter uses membrane technology to separate components by size and type for consistent, controlled results.

Lipid filter (INUS 30)

The INUS 30 filter features ultra-fine pores that allow smooth plasma flow.   • A standard session takes approximately 2.5 to 3 hours.

  • Access points are placed in your arm and monitored by trained healthcare professionals. Some people experience a brief pinch or mild discomfort at the start, but the rest of the procedure is typically painless.

  • The procedure is generally well tolerated, however it may cause minor side effects that usually resolve quickly, such as bruising or pain at the access point or light-headedness. More serious complications are rare, but can include:

    -        Bleeding and/or increased risk of bleeding

    -        Infection and/or increased risk of infection

    -        Low blood pressure

    -        Muscle cramping
